Im Jahr 2001 erschien ihr Deb\u00fctalbum \u00abGorillaz\u00bb, das u.a. in Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich und Grossbritannien in die Top 3 der Charts einstieg. Daraufhin folgten noch sechs weitere, international sehr erfolgreiche Alben. <strong>\u00abCracker Island\u00bb<\/strong> ist das insgesamt achte Studioalbum der Band. Es wird mit der Ver\u00f6ffentlichung der neuen Single \u00abNew Gold\u00bb am 31. August 22 angek\u00fcndigt. Auf der Single wirken Tame Impala &#8211; das psychedelische Musikprojekt des australischen Multiinstrumentalisten Kevin Parker &#8211; und Bootie Brown von der Alternative-Hip-Hop-Gruppe The Pharcyde mit. Das neue Album enth\u00e4lt weitere spannende Kollaborationen mit grossen Namen wie Stevie Nicks von Fleetwood Mac, Beck und Thundercat.<\/p>\n<p>Die virtuelle Band ist auf TikTok explodiert und hat innerhalb weniger Monate \u00fcber 2 Millionen Follower auf der Plattform dazugewonnen, wo sie weiterhin innovativ sind und virtuelle Charaktere dorthin bringen, wo noch kein Charakter zuvor gewesen ist.
